Ross works in many roles at The America Group. As an advisor in his personal practice, he specializes in Employer Sponsored Benefit Plans including group health, life, disability, dental, vision, and voluntary plans, Medicare insurance plans, business protection, and financial planning focusing on business owners and individuals nearing the retirement phase.
Ross has always had an affinity for the protection side of financial planning, including life insurance planning, disability insurance planning, and long-term care planning. In addition to his role as an advisor within his personal practice, Ross is part of the management team at The America Group and DeWitt Insurance Agency, and assists in training new advisors.
He serves on the board of directors for the American Agency Insurance Group, Inc., and the St. Louis Association of Health Underwriters. Ross is a member of the International Society of Employee Benefit Specialists and MDRT, is a Master Mentor for the Circle of Wealth, and has been recognized by St. Louis Small Business Monthly for their Best in Business Award!
He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2008 with a degree in Finance and Banking.
Ross loves what he does because he is able to make a tangible difference in client’s lives every day. Each time he meets with a client, it’s exciting for him to listen and learn about their concerns, and to bring ideas and solutions that help provide a sense of security and reduce the financial pressure they may feel in their lives.
He’s most proud of the relationship he has with his family, and he was a First Team All-State and First Team All Midwest goalkeeper in high school. He also played college soccer at Butler University and University of Missouri. During Ross’ free time, he is with his wife and 2 dogs, exercising, traveling, fishing, and being outdoors. His favorite song is Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd, he likes Forest Gump, Shawshank Redemption, Goodfellas, Grease, Dirty Dancing and Seinfeld.
Ross feels lucky to have experienced many great things in his life, and he finds it difficult to pinpoint one specific experience that stands out. Overall, he strives for happiness and excitement every single day, and to find the positive in all experiences.
If he could have dinner with anyone, he would choose his grandmother because she passed away before he was born, and everyone in his family has always told him what an amazing person she was. He would also like to dine with Jeff Bezos, because he’s fascinated by his ability to be a visionary and to disrupt well established industries.
