Growing up, Aaron had the privilege of watching his father and grandfather help others plan for their financial future. It was this exposure to the industry that made him realize he wanted to follow in their footsteps. After graduating from the University of Missouri – St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005, he began his career at Edward Jones as a Retirement Specialist. While there he educated financial advisors with regards to many aspects of retirement planning for both individuals and businesses as well as the laws and legislation pertaining to the financial services industry.
In August of 2007 he joined The America Group and finally realized his dream of becoming a Financial Planner. Since then he has been educating clients and assisting them make their financial aspirations become reality. Aaron’s focus at The America Group is comprehensive financial planning with an emphasis on creating tax efficient retirement income streams. He is also a Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP).
As he has grown professionally, Aaron has come to understand more about how different financial strategies and financial products work and more importantly, which don’t work. He loves educating people regarding common misconceptions surrounding traditional financial strategies and how wealth is lost unnecessarily. His approach to working with his clients is more about avoiding and educating them on unnecessary loss in their overall financial situation. Seeing the “light bulb” go off once they learn the truth about how wealth works is extremely gratifying.
Aaron is most proud of being a Father, and it’s been his favorite experience in life. He also plays rugby, spends his free time chasing his kids, and his favorite song is Everything In It’s Right Place by Radiohead. He enjoys movies like National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, and watching Game of Thrones. If Aaron could have dinner with anyone, he would choose his mom, C.S. Lewis and his younger self.
